Green Business Star Recognition Program|Will County Green

Introducing the Will County Green Business Star recognition program! If your business recycles, practices energy efficiency, water conservation or reduces waste- you should apply. The Green Business Star will be something that you can show to customers to demonstrate your efforts to care for the environment and be a sustainable organization.

Complete the QUESTIONNAIRE and tally your points. You may be surprised how many things your business already does that are "green" because so many green practices are also good business practices that save money.

Point System for Business Star Program

100-195 pts- One Star
200-295 pts- Two Stars
300-395 pts- Three Stars
400-1000 pts- Four Stars
400-1000 pts with a minimum of 80 pts per category- Five Stars

All businesses that qualify for any level will receive a cling to place on a window or door and prominently display to customers their dedication to the community.

All businesses that qualify at any level will be listed on the willcountygreen.com website

Businesses qualifying for two or more star levels will be offered a FREE verification visit and given a special shout-out on the willcountygreen, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.

Businesses that qualify for three or more stars will also be eligible to receive a one month promotion on the willcountygreen.com website.

All businesses will also receive a framed certificate showing their actual star level suitable for hanging in any office area.

This designation is good for one year. It is our intent to encourage businesses to strive for the highest level possible. The county will offer informational seminars, websites, and more to assist businesses in this endeavor.
