All Day Event
Celebrate America Recycles Day by improving recycling! Over the last few decades more items have become recyclable but many of them can't be placed in the curbside collection. The carts are emptied without a driver removing these items and people believe they are acceptable. We are asking you to talk with friends and neighbors about what actually is accepted with a flyer for reference!

Holiday lights that are no longer working may be dropped off for recycling at three County locations from December 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025 during normal business hours. Channahon Library is a new partner this year..Please be aware that we are accepting string lights ONLY. No stand alone LEDs, CFLs, or other fluorescent lights.

Will County and Lewis University have partnered to offer the 8th annual Will County collection of pumpkins for recycling. From 9am to Noon on Saturday, Nov. 2, students, parents, and residents are encouraged to bring their pumpkins and gourds! Lewis Physics Club will be operating Catapults! The County's Environmental Educator will be offering composting info. The County is also offering Document Destruction service and Electronics recycling.
