Joliet residents are invited to bring up to two boxes of personal papers and documents to observe the on-site mobile shredding process by Shred X, a local business specializing in document destruction. Residents must show proof of Joliet residency to participate in this event. Papers include: Medical records, Legal papers, Canceled checks, Bank/financial statements, Credit card statements or offers, All shredded paper will be recycled.

Prairie View School in Plainfield, in cooperation with Will County's electronic recycling company, Vintage Tech, is offering a one-day electronic recycling event at Grand Prairie School, located at 3300 Caton Farm Road in Plainfield. The event will be on Saturday, October 22, from 9am to 1pm.
