GR2012 - Green 2012 Sustainability Event

Multiple organizations joining efforts to create a sustainabiliy fair for the whole family. This 3rd annual event features entertainment, information booths, recycling and more. 2012 Event moving from Black Road Library to Joliet Jr. College.

Recyclingpalooza runs from 8am to 3pm, includes collection of electronics, clothing, fabrics and shoes of all types, working or gently used household goods, jewelry, cookie wrappers including trays, worn American Flags, medical equipment, bicycles in all conditions and scrap metal.
Will County is also offering a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event from 8am-3pm
GR2012 is a free, fun-filled family event focusing on healthy families and sustainable communities full of activities, displays, speakers, demonstrations, entertainment, and more! Come for the festival and stay for the party! The festival is intended to create excitement and enthusiasm for green products, services and technologies through an environmentally responsible fair of education, empowerment and entertainment.
Join the fun from 4pm - 7pm rain or shine to celebrate sustainability as part of the Grand Picnic Community Party! Bring your picnic basket and a blanket to listen to the sounds of Hoots and Hellmouth with your family and friends!
