Will County is announcing a new, convenient electronic recycling pick up service for residents beginning April 1, 2011. This pilot program is a free service offered to all residents with first floor entrances in the communities of Aurora, Bolingbrook, Crest Hill, Elwood, Homer Glen, Joliet, Lemont, Lockport, Minooka, Naperville, New Lenox, Plainfield, Rockdale, Romeoville, Shorewood, Wilmington, and Woodridge. Will County continues to be recognized for its green initiatives on the national level. Will County Board member Jackie Traynere and Will County Land Use Director Curt Paddock were recently featured in a video produced by the National Association of Counties Forum. They spoke about several green initiatives being taken across the county. “This video highlights the county’s dedication to its protecting its resources and preparing for the future,” said Will County Executive Larry Walsh.
