Collection of nearly all types of electronics and household chemicals, hazardous materials and liquids. An APPOINTMENT system was implemented to prevent traffic backups. Those without an appointment are welcome after 10:15am. The event closes at 3pm. There is a limit of 2 TVs per vehicle, maximum 15 gallons of paint, and ID required. We offer service to all Will County residents and all residents of any communities partially within Will County.

Family Fun Fest offers something for every family to enjoy. Saturday, at Duly Field, home of the Joliet Slammers, children up to 15 years of age are invited (accompanied by an adult). Find resources for the whole family while enjoying fun activities.

Many items we place in the garbage could be repaired and reused. Joliet Junior College is offering a chance for residents to bring items to a FREE event to explore repair options on Saturday, Oct 19 at their Romeoville Campus.

Will County and Lewis University have partnered to offer the 8th annual Will County collection of pumpkins for recycling. From 9am to Noon on Saturday, Nov. 2, students, parents, and residents are encouraged to bring their pumpkins and gourds! Lewis Physics Club will be operating Catapults! The Farm Bureau and Unv of IL Ext office will be offering composting info. The County is also offering Document Destruction service and Electronics recycling.

The Illinois EPA is offering a Household Hazardous Waste one-day collection event in cooperation with the Village of Orland Park and the Township of Orland on Sat, Oct 14 from 8am to 3pm. The event is FREE of charge and open to all Illinois residents. Registration is requested,

Plainfield Township is offering their second Pumpkin Smash event on Sat, Nov 2, 2024 from 9am to Noon and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a "clean" pumpkin, gourd or squash for some family fun. Participants will take turns tossing their jack-o-lanterns in the air and watching them smash into small pieces that will be taken to be composted, returning all those nutrients to the Earth.
