Stop-Drop-Pumpkin Roll in Plum Creek Nature Center (11:00 AM - 03:00 PM)
STOP by Plum Creek Nature Center and choose how your jack-o’-lantern will meet its demise — pounded to a pulp, rolled into a heap or dropped over a railing. It’s going to be a smashing good time! Work up an appetite smashing your pumpkin then enjoy roasting marshmallows.
Smash Pumpkins in New Lenox 2024 (09:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
The Village of New Lenox is offering their second Pumpkin Smash event on Sat, Nov 2, 2024 from 9am to Noon and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a "clean" pumpkin, gourd or squash for some family fun.
Smash Pumpkins in Plainfield 2024 (09:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
Plainfield Township is offering their second Pumpkin Smash event on Sat, Nov 2, 2024 from 9am to Noon and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a "clean" pumpkin, gourd or squash for some family fun. Participants will take turns tossing their jack-o-lanterns in the air and watching them smash into small pieces that will be taken to be composted, returning all those nutrients to the Earth.
Catapult a Pumpkin 2024 - Shred Documents & Recycle Electronics (09:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
Will County and Lewis University have partnered to offer the 8th annual Will County collection of pumpkins for recycling. From 9am to Noon on Saturday, Nov. 2, students, parents, and residents are encouraged to bring their pumpkins and gourds! Lewis Physics Club will be operating Catapults! The County's Environmental Educator will be offering composting info. The County is also offering Document Destruction service and Electronics recycling.
